NATURE COAST EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES CITRUS COUNTY, FLORIDA
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A paramedic protects life and property in compliance with local, state and federal policies and procedures. Performs emergency medical techniques (Advanced Life Support) and patient care procedures, responds to disasters and other emergencies, and maintains department equipment, apparatus and station. Participates in EMS awareness activities and training to improve public education and information of the Emergency Medical Services. Drives and/or operates emergency response apparatus. On call 24 hours pending disaster. Classified as "Essential Personnel" during declared states of emergency. Work is performed under the general supervision of the station Lieutenant.
Required: Valid State of Florida certified Paramedic in accordance with 401.27 Florida Statutes. Current ACLS, BLS for Healthcare Provider, EVOC or equivalent, documented three hour AIDS training certification and an insurable Florida Class E Drivers License.
